Blending for a New Year

It’s a new year and I don’t know about you but I am ready for some blessings. One of the things I love most about essential oils is that they help to uplift the spirits when life gets us down. Like the smell of your mom's cooking, baking cookies, or walking through a field of my favorite wildflowers, familiar and enjoyable smells can really calm the mind and uplift the soul. Now that 2020 is behind us, I’d say it is a great time to think positive and get our head in the game of making 2021 better than last year and that starts with a good attitude. I am being very intentional about caring for myself and making sure I create a healthy and positive atmosphere for myself and my clients. I would like to encourage you to do the same.

Essential oils are a great way to help energize and uplift, to get you in the right mindset for new beginnings. Below is a list of oils I recommend using for new beginnings for diffuser blends, inhalers, soaps, hand sanitizers, and just about anything you can use essential oils with. Besides providing wonderful health benefits such as fighting infections and boosting immunity, they smell refreshing and uplifting. Use them alone or as a blend. And don’t forget to check out my favorites.

As always, listen to your body. If it irritates you, don’t use it. If using any oils on the skin, be sure to dilute appropriately. Lemongrass is an amazing smell but because of the aldehyde content can be irritating to the skin or nose if it's too concentrated. I recommend using this in a significantly diluted blend or in an inhaler and blended with a gentler oil. My favorite is Basil and Lemongrass. It is so energizing!

If you would like assistance in finding the right oil blends for you and your wellness needs, I am an appointment away. I will keep you safe and optimize the blessings. I will also allow you to use oils you would normally not without breaking the bank buying oils that will likely go bad before you use them u. I wish you all a happy and safe blending.

People ask me, “Peggy, what oils should I have on hand at all times?” As someone who fully understands the excellent benefits of oils, this was a tricky question for me, but after considering all the
